UK holiday with snow!

Has anyone any recommendations for a self catering holiday in the UK where we would have a good chance of snow? DS1 is desperate to see snow and we never get it where we live.

NE Scotland in January. The West doesn't always get much snow. Maybe Northumberland.

Norfolk and round there seem to get alot in Jan if I recall. Alternatively Manchester has a snow dome type of place with guaranteed snow!

Near the Aviemore area maybe?
That's where all our school ski trips were so probably a good bet.

Aviemore area probably your best bet in Jan or Feb, thing is you may get no snow or you may get so much the roads are shut .

Aviemore area is good as there are other activities that you can do even if no snow.

Aviemore

I went there in November and it was lovely and frosty but no snow. Been up a few winters and it is usually chilly and frosty in the winter rather than wet.

Not real snow exactly, but have you thought of bluestonewales. Its a self catering holiday village in south wales, its new and for december they have an outdoor snow machine for sledging and playing, not been myself but see they have some good offers at the moment so might be worth a try for guaranteed snow play even if not as good as the real thing.

Do they not have it at Lapland UK in Kent?
