recommendations for cottage, near london, for a week or two?

It looks as though we may be technically homeless for one or two weeks between properties. We're trying to look at it positively, and are thinking of renting a cottage somewhere for that time. It would need to be max 2 hours from East London, and suit couple + 8mo baby + dog.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?
