Dh and I are wanting to take the girls up to London early next year. Amongst others we plan to see the natural history museum and science museum.

Having looked on the travel lodge website Barking seems to be one of the cheapest. Neither Dh or I are familier with London. Would you recommend we stay here or not.

Thanx

Pink

No, in a word! Barking is a dive and a fair old way out from anything (apologies to any B&D MNers!). What are the other options?

You want to be in one of the Zone 1 hotels -- then getting the tube or walking to anywhere will be easy. Having had a quick look at their website, Covent Garden, Farringdon, Marylebone, Kings Cross, Euston are all very central. Out of those, Covent Garden is in the nicest area.

Thanx Meg, Yes I knew that Covent garden would be nice. It's one of the most expensive. But Euston did'nt come out too bad. so maybe we'll give that one a go.
