Suggestions for somewhere to stay in or near Edinburgh next weekend - doesn't have to be budget but prefer clean, interesting and no involuntary inhalations on seeing the bill.....

Need somewhere decent to stay for one night off, first in ages, with DH, although we're out in the evening, somewhere we can flop around in the morning and feel relaxed preferred - any suggestions?

what's your budget snigger?

I stayed here with my dh in the summer for one night. The en-suite was bigger than my ds's old bedroom.

It's a series of Georgian town houses that have all been knocked through.

Breakfast is continental and okish.

Quite central too, just down a bit and round the corner from Harvey Nicks, Or you access it off York Lane.

\link{http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/86711_james-court-apartments-edinburgh.aspx\hav e stayed here a couple of times. Location is good ( right beside the Castle)but apartments vary and there is no lift- just a stone windy staircase- which is ok. the better apartments seem to be at the back of the building and overlook the city.
