Could I keep myself and 17m ds entertained - cheaply - in Newbury for a day?

Dh is going to a nerdfest at the Racecourse and I can either stay home with ds - like we do every day - or come for an outing, if there's anywhere to hang out in that part of the world?

there is the rainforest thing which is nice but can't remember how much

ooh thank you rubyslippers, they even have a link to getting there by bus from Newbury. Will have the car, but bus may be more fun for ds!
