Hi,
I have started this once but found nothing available. Basically husband tied up with chemo treatment, appts etc until the 9th Oct. We desperately need a break, horrible year. Looking for a lovely lodge with a sauna for me, woodland setting, lake for fishing, about 5/6 hours drive from Kent, dates..hopefully if all goes well with oncologist appt anytime from the 10th Oct up until half term, 23rd, because then the prices are too high. Need to sleep 5, but 4 bedrooms would be bliss as I can`t get any sleep atm!

Still looking, need the sauna, hot tub no good to dh, thank you for your time and patience! There must be something! Cumbria one looked lovely but its an 8/9 hour drive from here.

THis one has sauna, fishing, enough bedrooms, a peaceful lakeside setting and October availability within your drive distance. Not in woodland, but I htink you will have to compromise somewhere.

Hi Triplets
Look at www.ejcottages.com/? We stayed earlier in the year & it was really lovely - some of the cottages have their own saunas. The weather was very mixed but it didn't matter - there's under floor heating and log stoves. It's a couple of miles from the nearest beach at Manorbier with castle and also from Tenby with it's beaches and shops.

It'll take about 6 hours to get there - but worth it - cows/sheep right outside the window and a feeling of being away from it all - yet only a 20 minute walk to the pub!

It wasn't cheap - but a real treat - sounds like you all deserve one!

triplets · 14/09/2008 10:55

Thank you NW,they look beautiful, over budget though I am afraid, and too far to travel incase DH isn`t well, really no more than 4 hours max from Kent I think. Thank you though.

OH BUM! Just when I thought we had found something after speaking to the oncologist we can only go if we can find something the 10th-17th OCT...........so still searching, 4/ 5 hours from Kent max, self catering, fishing for H, nature, things for kids(trips/10yrs) and I so wanted a private sauna

OP posts:
Furball · 16/09/2008 07:11
