is it too early to think about new years eve?

DP and I will have no children this new year's eve. I was thinking of spending it in a hotel. It would need to be quite low budget though, in the countryside and no further than 2/3 hours drive from Leeds (so Dales, Northumbria, Lake District, Scotland, Peak District, Pennines etc).

Any recommendations welcome!

we too are thinking about New Years eve with kids so more of a cottage type break. Why not try laterooms.com or the tourist board websites? Going to create my own posts re cottage!
