sorry my mind is not what it was and i cant remember...

do i need my passport? i do for photo id, right?

do the same security ishoos exist with liquids an all that?

You will need photo ID of some sort, doesn't have to be a passport though. Rules on liquids same as for any other flight out of a UK airport.

You may need your passport now - you didn't before but I think they may have got strict again. Doesn't hurt to take it. Enjoy your trip!

Still just photo ID. All liquids in 1 small, clear, plastic bag (they are still giving them to you at Heathrow)in containers of less than 100ml.
