Hotel recommendation, with pool/spa

DH has promised me a night away from DS (our first ever!) and I want it to be a night to remember.

We are looking for something romantic, preferably with a spa. Budget up to £250.

It needs to be somewhere fairly central, 2 hours maximum drive from the Midlands.

Any ideas?

St David's Hotel and Spa in Cardiff has had good reviews, it overlooks the bay so has lovely views.

Hmm, Cardiff...hadn't thought of there.

The new Malvern Spa Hotel ? Looks lovely.

I've stayed at St Davids, and tbh it was overpriced for what it was - a bit of a disappointment. Pre DS we had some lovely Christmas's at the Celtic Manor at Newport - spa is fabulous.

I loved Bodysgallen

Also Cowley but only just in budget

Coombe Grove. Nice and lovely location
