somewhere nice for lunch/meet-up near bristol?

I need a place for a family meet-up (several older adults, plus me, DP and DS aged 3) somewhere in or near bristol area - if not in bristol itself, then to the west of it would be good, possibly on the coast. I'm dreaming of somewhere to have a nice lunch - not super-posh but good food - with a lovely child-friendly garden and ideally something to see or do.

Can anyone recommend a great place? TIA

St Werburghs city farm and cafe is lovely, not disabled-friendly though.

@Bristol is amazing !!!!!

Adults and children alike had a great time there the last time we went, in November last year. The Planetarium is awesome.

But the food there is v expensive.

Snow - loads of places to eat by @bristol if you don't want to eat in there and a lot of places welcome children. Park street isn't very far from the water front and has a lot of restaurants there - Gourmet burger place, Ask Pasta, Pizza Express, Zizzi, Browns, Wagamamas, just to name a few...

Thanks all! I'm very excited about @Bristol (DS having exhaustively pressed every button Edinburgh's museums have to offer) - just have to decide whether to involve the rellies with that, or do it on our own and limit rellies to less stressful country setting.
