B&B in LAKE DISTRICT

Need to stay Fri night on way up to Glasgow near Penrith. Anyone recommend a child friendly hotel or B&B which is not too pricey? (not too far off motorway)

I've stayed at the Shap Wells hotel just off the M1 near Penrith before and it was nice.

Meant to add we had dd with us as well, she was about a year old and they were fine with her. The dining room is a long way from some of the rooms (hotel is huge), so we took a baby monitor with us and that worked fine.
