Nice hotel with pool (and maybe outdoor one?) in middle England?

Am coming down from Scotland for 5 or 6 days. Don't want to drive too much further South than Birmingham - but maybe if the place was right.
Want a nice hotel for dh and I and ds (4) - who is quite happy spending 8 hours a day in the pool.

Budget is around £1000 for the week (tops) - so more nights if cheaper and less nights if its £££.
