Nice lunch recommendation around Andover/Salisbury please!

Will be driving from Gatwick to Taunton on Friday and I think Andover or Salisbury will be a good stopping off point for lunch.

A nice pub would be good.

Any ideas oh wise ones?

Sainsburys order one and will be delivered on Friday.

Also asked the owners if I could be cheeky and get an M&S school uniform order sent to them and they said no problem and I did a Book People order which arrived today!

They sound lovely and I am so looking forward to it.

Anyway - The Lamb looks nice. May give it a go. Just looking for a nice pub for nice basic pub food - not a chain like Brewers Fayre with all pre-prepared/frozen stuff.

Handy parking for your helicopter too! Good food, normal pub prices.

If you want a traditional pub just off the A303 near Salisbury, the Boot at Berwick St James is nice and has a garden. You will see the sign off to the right. (It had good food but I haven't been for about 5 yrs).
