Hi, I’m hoping for some recommendations as the choice is a bit overwhelming!

I’m coming to London the last weekend in November with some girlfriends. There are three of us. We’re staying in Marylebone. We’re looking to book somewhere for drinks and dinner on the Saturday, somewhere special with a buzzy atmosphere and not too OTT price wise.

Thanks. 🙏

Do you have any restrictions? (Is anyone vegan, gluten free, etc)
Do you have a favourite cuisine? Or anything that you’d absolutely out rule?

I adore Zédels. It’s a spectacular venue, good value and live music at the weekend.

Brasserie Zedel at Piccadilly. Beautiful art deco building with a French bistro and separate American cocktail bar where you press a button for drinks. Also has a little cabaret club there that does jazz, burlesque etc.

I don't think you can go wrong with The Ivy Cafe on Marylebone Lane. The atmosphere and front of house there are fantastic and food is very good without being outlandish.

I third Zedel.

Trishna (Michelin star Indian) do a very good value early evening menu. The food is excellent and it’s not at all stuffy.

To the Zédel lovers have you know it for long? It used to be the Atlantic and I’d heard of it and Central is our go to family meal area and I’d have said Scott’s, Sugar Club (no longer), Aqua Kyoto, Dishoom or Veeraswamy, all within 5 minutes walk from Zédel. We went there for Father’s Day as Scott’s was full and the adult dc know it. I was blown away- the full package of food, ambience, service and price and now don’t want to go anywhere else 😆

I was really disappointed with Zedel last time we went.

There’s lots of choice around Marylebone- worth a google of ‘Best restaurants in Marylebone’ and then seeing if anyone here has eaten in any you fancy.
