London for the weekend

I've a nice weekend in London next week, courtesy of my work rather than travel back to Scotland. I'm staying near Kew gardens.
I like art, architecture, culture, good coffee and history. I also like being off the usual tourist trail.
Please make suggests of places to visit, bonus if they are free or cheap!

I'm also tempted to see if I can find some company - an evening of conversation and fun, ideally with a nice 50 yearish man...The usual dating evenings don't seem to quite work with me not being local. So what places near where I'm staying might be good for meeting someone in a bar or at an activity?

Thank you all

Is meeting up with a man your priority?

If you're going into central London, the Garden Museum is fab and has a wonderful cafe. Then have a bimble along the south bank. I have no idea re dating I'm afraid.

No, but I'm there for a few days and I'm in a hotel room for 10 days straight and I would rather go to a nice pub and meet some company, maybe some more.
I'm certainly not staying in a hotel room and not visiting some of what London has to offer. I'm rarely there and I've only ever been for work.

It's the Frieze art fair next week. If you don't want to pay for a ticket, there are usually some big sculptures out in the open in the southeast corner of Regent's Park.

Definitely do Kew Gardens (although it’s not cheap). You can get a bus to Putney pier and get the Uber Clipper up the river to Central London or Greenwich. It’s a nice way to see the sights.

Re: the hook up - not sure about that.
