CP, can we hire a kids trailor and fit to our own bikes ourselves?

Am booking activities to do at CP but they say they only fit trailors to their own bikes, can we use one on our own bikes if we fit it and are they difficult to fit?

It is true. They're really fussy. However, we went with another couple who didn't bring bikes. They hired two bikes and two trailers. We then took one of the trailers off and fitted it onto our bike and it was very easy.

So at worst you could hire bike and trailer then swap.
