Affordable dog-friendly cottage recommendations for Christmas in Yorkshire or the Peaks

My DD has split up with her partner and will be coming home for Christmas this year.
She has a dog who will be coming with her, and I have one too (mine is a bit territorial at home so this is kind of relevant!)

It’s just DS and me here usually so I thought it might be nice, less sad for her, and possibly easier all round if we did something completely different this year.

I would really like to book a cottage, nothing fancy, just a change from home with countryside walks.
Ideally around N or S Yorkshire, or the Peak District, and with hills or mountains for DS to climb!
Lower price range rather than high due to having to borrow to pay for it😬

Has anyone stayed in one they’d recommend please? I’m worried about booking a bad one.

not sure it’s the right location but is lovely!

Not sure of the cost at Christmas as it's a peak time but this summer we stayed in Snave Barn which is on the shores of Grimwith (may have spelt that wrong) reservoir. It was just lovely! We felt like we were in a bond movie driving in to it. Wood fired hot tub, log burner, comfy beds, superb views, lots of lovely walks and waterfalls nearby. Would recommend!
