Child-tolerant hotel/B&B between Exeter and Dartmoor

I'm trying to find somewhere to stay for two nights in July whilst visiting friends. Location would ideally be between Exeter and Dartmoor although this is not really critical.

Would really like somewhere with adjoining rooms so that we can have a separate room from the dc (aged 4 and 2).

We'll only be sleeping there so don't need any "facilities" for the children. It would be nice if the place/people were at least tolerant of the children though (I've been finding plenty of places that specify no children!)

Hotel/B&B/self catering would all be fine (actually self-caetring would be the best but think probably won't get that for the short time we're there)

Any recommendations?

We have stayed in the Exeter YHA a couple of times, we enjoyed it. It's very child friendly - common rooms and a restaurant and garden and tv room.

I live between Exeter and Dartmoor, it's lovely. but I don't know much about the hotels around. People I know who stay around here sometimes stay in the Devon Hotel, in the SW of Exeter, or at the Poachers Inn in Ide. but they are people who come with work. not sure about how child friendly they are.
