I havent staed in the liverpool one, just Gasgow, Newcastle Edinburgh and Leeds and they are fab hotels - opulent, cool and swanky!

Have a fun night

charliegal · 29/06/2008 20:19

no no, Hope St hotel. Nicer than Malmaison.

geordieminx · 29/06/2008 20:22

Tis nice too - but have heard bad things about the service.

charliegal · 29/06/2008 20:39

really? Tell me more. I always stay there and the service has been excellant. I absolutely love the place, would quite like to live there!

poshtottie · 29/06/2008 20:40

Charlie, do they have parking?

Just a few remarks about snotty staff and poor service - it is a lovely hotel though, and great location - dont think they have parking though

milge · 29/06/2008 20:51

Hope Street, great location, great rooms, great food downstairs in LCW, but crap, crappier than crap service, more worthy of a B&B in Soviet Russia, than somewhere that charges hundreds of pounds per night.
If you complain, you get free parking, or at least, i did. £10 per night otherwise. £2.50 a day car park further up , then turn right from Hope Street.

milge · 29/06/2008 20:53

62 Castle Street is another option.

poshtottie · 01/07/2008 09:11

bump for any other suggestions or comments though will have to book today.

the radisson is lovely and has a pool and a spa bath thing. rooms are lovely too. very modern. ask for a river view room.

crowne plaza alos lovely with pool and again river view rooms.

DO NOT GO TO THE ADELPHI!!!!!!

malmaison.

erm...

geordieminx · 01/07/2008 09:16

tripadvisor.co.uk is useful for getting honest reviews of hotels. The rate and rank them with pictures usually.

charliegal · 01/07/2008 09:18

oh god the adelphi! Definitely not.

poshtottie · 01/07/2008 09:45

thanks everyone, its the tall ships race that week so I must book today.

radisson or crowne plaza would be good then as river views and close to the action.

geordieminx · 01/07/2008 10:34

Think Mal is on the docks too?

themildmannneredjanitor · 01/07/2008 10:35

yes it is.
