DH is really keen to take a short break in the Lake District in October but I’m having mobility issues so won’t be up for hill walking. He assures me there are boat trips and pretty villages and of course lovely views everywhere. I’m not familiar with the area but always think of it as a base for outdoorsy, walking holidays. Are there enough other things to do? Or are we best to go somewhere else this year and postpone the Lakes until I’m more mobile?
