Recommendations for a trip with teens in London in February

We are planning on taking our kids (aged 12 & 14) to London in February 2027.

We will do the usual museums and attractions as well as a couple of shows, but wondered if there are any stand-out things that people have done that they would recommend.

We are there for 8 days so have plenty of time... happy to hear any recommendations or advice.

We always enjoy going to Borough Market for some street food (on a dry day). It’s not far to walk from Tower Bridge if you are going there (good attraction). Taking the boat to Greenwich or Battersea towers. Having a wander round Shoreditch/brick lane - have a curry, seek out some vintage clothing shops. If going to see a show, go to stage door afterwards to get a programme signed or photo of the stars.

the LEGO store and m&m store in Leicester Square always worth a visit, and wander along to Covent Garden.

Day trip to WB Harry Potter studio tour if that’s of interest.

Where are you coming from and what are your interests? There's so much to do... 8 days isn't much!

Hampton Court is entertaining esp if you go when they have costumed actors walking around and interacting with everyone. Last time I went there was a spooky woman carrying her heart in a box.

London dungeon, Thames rocket Rib boat ride, interactive monopoly, abseiling down Cutty sark (good food market there too), leake street arches (southbank), Camden market, brick lane Spitalfields/shoreditch.

We are coming from Guernsey. We like museums and art. The kids like experiences - things to do rather than just to look at. Has anyone done Babylon Park?

I quite fancy the HP walking tour - we have done the studios before which was amazing.

The Husband hopes to get tickets to the Bayeaux Tapestrey.

Scavenger hunt - our favourite was with a company called Treasure Trails
Ghost tour - I highly recommend the Cloak and Dagger tour
Crystal Maze Live - expensive but well worth it.
Swingers Crazy Golf - under 18s allowed before 6pm. A great way to warm up on a cold February day.
A themed afternoon tea - my family has enjoyed Wicked, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, a science-themed one and a Jurassic themed one.

If February (didn’t see that) the ice skating rinks outside might be open. Dennis Severs House in Spitalfields is good, places like Leighton House, Wallace collection, museum of the home. Teens might like Victor Wynd museum (gruesome and gothic) in Hackney.

Get a historic palaces membership and spend a few days going to the Tower of London. So much to see that it’s well worth the return visit and that membership isn’t much more than a Tower of London ticket.

Uber boat
A West end show
the imperial war museum.
