Like Llandudno but not

I'm looking for some where for a short break (not Devon or Cornwall, too far) that like Llandudno in that it is small/medium size, wide and spacious promenade (we have 2 wheelchair users), not overly developed but a few things to do (Llandudno has the luge, pier, coastal walks). Not Scarborough (been many times). Can anyone suggest anywhere. Thank you!

South Shields

Eastbourne - lovely prom that goes on for ages covering the busy seaside-y bit by the pier right down to the quiet bit at the edge of the South Downs. Lovely accessible art gallery (Towner) and plenty of nice places to eat etc.

Although not sure where you are travelling from so may be too far away

If you like Llandudno have you been to rhos on sea, which is virtually the next town.

Maybe Barmouth

Or North Shields

I was also going to suggest South Shields or Seaburn/Roker.

You need to say roughly where you are, @FloridaCheese . I'm guessing somewhere like Manchester or Leeds.
Somewhere like Norfolk or Bournemouth would be a long way.

I once took a week to recuperate by the coast in Eastbourne like a Victorian convalescent. Was perfect.
