Travelling from Wembley to East Finchley

Going to see a show later this year at Wembley and need to stay over in London.
Obviously crazy prices to stay around Wembley that night - found a decent looking air B&B in East Finchley for a much more reasonable price. We’ll be arriving in to Euston and am comfortable navigating the tube.

Will getting home be a nightmare? Is it even Do-able? Any tips?

TIA

Tube from Wembley Park to Euston Square, short walk to Euston station, northern line to East Finchley.

It’s fairly quick getting there (less than an hour) very slow getting onto the tube at Wembley Park on the way back.

Which side of EF are you staying? Near north circular or near tube station?

I wouldn't say an hour on the tube is quick. EF is a 15 minute drive from Wembley but it still might be your best bet. Uber will be rammed, no taxis and the buses from Wembley to EF at night are slow and horrid.

What date, stadium or arena. I'd stay near euston or kings x and get the direct tube.

It’s a Saturday in summer (evening), Wembley arena.
we were thinking of getting to Euston midday and tube to East Finchley to go to straight to air b&b to unpack and get ready.

Potentially get food and drinks around there and then tube to Wembley or would you say try and go for food somewhere near Wembley stadium itself?

Coming home it’s saying can be easier/quieter to walk to further afield tube station like Wembley Central and travel from there?

It's doable but it's not the quickest/easiest journey. Could you look somewhere a bit closer to Wembley like Kilburn or Willesden?

I would definitely get food around East Finchley rather than Wembley personally.

How many nights, what's your hotel budget, where are you travelling from.

IfyouStealMySunshine · 07/05/2026 22:24

1 night accommodation.
Travelling from NW England so trains are usually 2.5 hrs in to Euston no changes. (Sometimes come to London for the day).

Current air b&b sleeps 4 and is only 200 for the night. 4 of us going - cannot afford 100 per head which is what the minimum price seems to be Even in the vague vicinity of Wembley generally seems to be more between 500-600, could go to £70 each maybe but i resent paying more than that as only need a bathroom and a bed nothing fancy as well barely be there. Will be going straight home after checking out at 11.

It’s close as the crow flies but it’s on the wrong line from Wembley so it will take ages. Why not look at Stanmore/ Harrow way instead
