Need to collect from Manchester airport T2 next week. Would like to go into the terminal to help arriving passenger if possible. There must be another way of doing this rather than paying £46 for an hour’s parking in P3 multi storey. What am I missing? Hate that airport with a passion 😂

I collected someone from T2 recently and parked in the new multistorey (not sure if that's P3?). I think you can park on the ground floor for 20 minutes or go up to level 1 or 2 for longer (possibly up to 2 hours) - I left the car on L2 and went to collect the passenger from inside the terminal - I think I paid £12 for an hour but can't find the actual receipt to confirm that.

Ooh thank you. That’s encouraging. I don’t mind paying £12-15 even £20 for what might be an hour or so. Just time for us to park up and go and properly meet someone who has been travelling for 24 hours. When I looked on their website and put the date and times in, it quoted me £46 so I’m not sure where to look for more info, but I’ll keep trying. Thanks for sharing 👍

I've just looked on the website and the info isn't very clear but I'm almost certain I park in the T2 West Multi Storey (P3). The ground floor was just for drop-offs but I parked on L1 for about an hour and went in to the terminal briefly. I just wish I could find the receipt to confirm my hazy memory though!

If you are coming from farther away there are places you can park to wait nearer to cut down how long you’d be in the airport car park and get them to text you when they land. Lots of lanes around the airport near Wythenshawe where I see cars waiting. There’s also Styal which has a cafe and is 5/10 mins away
