Recommendations for quiet UK holiday parks within walking distance of town

We stayed at Fallbarrow in Bowness on Windermere last summer and loved it. Looking for somewhere similar. We loved being able to walk into the town. It was a quiet site with no pool. Any recommendations? Open to location but must be a short walk to shops/restaurants

This is a lovely site, easy walking into Seahouses with a good choice of restaurants. Their leisure centre includes a restaurant, which serves surprisingly good food, a gym and pool. Don’t be put off by that, the facilities are excellent, clean and don’t get overly busy.

We’ve been several times and really enjoyed it.The coast and countryside around Seahouses is stunning. There’s a beach, a short walk from the caravan site at Bamburgh. It’s one of the very best beaches I’ve ever been to. Seahouses has lovely pubs, a harbour with boat trips and several restaurants to choose from.

Lime Tree Holiday Park, Buxton

Thacka Lea Campsite, Penrith

Derwentwater Camping or Crosslea Camping, Keswick
