Where can my friend spend a week with her DD, travelling over from Ireland.

There is the beach, Light Water Valley (theme park), Scarborough, the Moors, Whitby....

I should have said, as she is travelling over from Ireland, she probably won't have a car, and will need to use trains/busses.

I may persuade her to hire one though.
