Things to do near Stratford theatre before and after Easter show

The show I was going to see with DD during the Easter hols has been moved from a central London theatre out to one in Stratford, I've not been that way before so asking for suggestions of what to do pre and post the show. We'll have about an hour, maybe 2 either side of the show to do something before we have to get the train.

I know there's obviously Westfield but try as I might I don't think I can muster that much enthusiasm for a 4 hour mooch around shops. Is the Olympic Park ok? I've googled and seen a playground but can't quite figure out what else is around there.

Olympic park is lovely to walk around.

On the outskirts of the shopping centre there are lots of lovely bars and restaurants for a drink as well.

You could hire the pedalo boats on the river as well down by the Olympic pool. There’s also a park there and many small huts selling food/drink.

But I wouldnt worry about not being able to fill the time - I spend a week there at Easter as DS is a swimmer and British champs is held at LAC.

Ive never been bored there!

Tumbling Bay playground in the Olympic park is fun and has a nice café I think. There are exercise machines around the park too. Westfield is okay but agree, four hours is painful.

The o2 is only a couple of stops away - you could go and do the cable car.

My brother when he used to live in Hackney did a walk by the canal to Stratford so that could be an option. Only thing is if it’s 2 hours either side you don’t want to be gone too long to miss it.

The V&A storehouse is there and the new V&A is opening around now if not already
