Im taking my mum to a hospital appointment in London tmrw and would like to do some nice things after. Will be out of hospital by lunchtime. Any ideas for somewhere nice and mid budget friendly for lunch and what we could do after.

Which hospital is it, so we know what's near you?

Royal Brompton

You're near the Chelsea Physic Garden - nice to wander around and you can have lunch there too. The Victoria and Albert Museum's close by and has one of the most beautiful cafés in London - as well as lots of interesting exhibits 😁

I haven't heard of the Chelsea Physic Garden. I'll check it out. And the V & A. Thank you

Tomorrow might be a bit brisk for the Chelsea Physic Garden. The Royal Hospital Chelsea is very interesting and has a café for light meals. Not as gorgeous as the V&A café but pleasant enough.

Or you could just spend the afternoon at the V&A. Lunch and an exhibit or two (although Marie Antoinette is sold out). The gift shops alone are worth a visit!

We got the train to Waterloo and walked along the Southbank to London Bridge area. Had a lovely meal at Flat Iron and a walk around Borough Market.
