I’m helping organise transport for a school trip later this year and feeling a bit out of my depth. We’ll have a fairly large group of children plus staff, so coaches seem to be the only realistic option.
For those who’ve done this before — how far in advance do schools usually book? I’m worried about leaving it too late and either paying a lot more or not finding availability at all.
Also, what should we actually be checking when choosing a company? Safety is obviously the priority, but beyond that I’m not sure what matters most — vehicle age, reviews, whether they’re local, etc.
We’re in East London, so ideally need a company that knows the area and school pickup logistics. I’ve started looking online and found a few options, including this one:

But I’d really prefer recommendations or advice from people who’ve organised trips themselves.
Anything you wish you’d known beforehand?
Thanks in advance 🙂
