The downside of Dominica is that once you visit it, the other commercialised popular tourist trap islands such as Jamaica, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, st Barth, Barbados, Cayman Islands, curaçao, Aruba ECT all become played out. You sort of realise how overrated those other popular tourist destinations are.

nothing better then untamed beautiful nature and being able to access the beaches for free without having to give your money to some resort.

It’s quite a poor island though apparently. I had a friend who had Dominican parents and he went back as an adult with his mum.

What does this have to do with UK travel? Has Dominica moved?

Jamaica is a varied country with rich culture and history. It’s not a ‘tourist trap’ 🤯
Each Caribbean island has its own unique appeal.
