Restaurants/pubs on The Wirral and Liverpool

Looking for nice cosy pubs and restaurants on The Wirral and in Liverpool with good vegetarian food. Up for a week’s treatment at Clatterbridge so need to eat out every night - would like a range of quiet, cosy, quality recommendations. Thank you

Which bit of Clatterbridge are you at, Bebington or Liverpool city centre? It will help people to make appropriate suggestions.

Bebington but understand that’s near the tunnel so we can drive over to city centre

Have a look at The Red Fox. And if you like Italian, Andre's in West Kirby. They hav 50% off on Wednesdays. Hope all goes well - have had stints at CCC. They are a wonderful team

It’s not that near the tunnel but you can get the motorway very easily up to the Wallasey tunnel.
I can’t help you with Bebington but you would be spoilt for choice in Liverpool. Sanskruti isn’t to far from the tunnel or Moorfields (if you decide to Merseyrail instead). The Vibe and The Egg are both well known veggie restaurants but most places would do plenty of veggie options. Aubergine in West Kirkby is good and I highly recommend Shrub in Chester city centre but non are that local to Clatterbridge.

You can easily get the train from Bebington into Liverpool central.
