London for a night with my 16 year old boy

I’m thinking of spending a night in London with my 16 year old at the beginning of April. He’s a quiet, easy going type. He absolutely loves 1980s rock and so do I . And lots of music 1950s onwards. Are there any shows we could go to that would be good? Or something similar? I’ve never been to a west end show

Back to Future musical is huge fun - but finishes its run some time in April. If it's still going when you want to go, I recommend it.

There is a musical about Live Aid (One Day? Someone will know the name), but that's also due to finish soon.
But why not be a bit more adventurous than just a jukebox musical? Hamilton is fantastic as a show, and teenagers love it..... when I took a 16 year old, her comment was "I wish history was always like this"!

Not 50s or 80s music but for a first West End show I would highly recommend Oliver. Absolutely fabulous at any stage in life. Went with my 16 year old and 19 year old last year amd they loved it. Much funnier as well than you'd expect. Or if you were into Stranger Thungs then the Stranger Things play is brilliant as well and helps explain a lot about the show.

Thank you all these are ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of and I’m going to check them out!

I second back to the future musical, saw it with my DDs last year and it’s brilliant.
