How much?!

Looking to book a weekend trip anywhere in the UK and not fussy on when but ideally on a weekend. Must have a really good spa and lovely food.

I thought £600 for two nights would be about right in terms of budget and we would be paying for drinks and food etc on top.

I was recommended a couple of well known places and it’ll cost around £1500 for two nights. That seems ridiculous. Is this the norm? Does anyone have any recommendations that would fall slightly more into my budget?

I would edit your title to mention spa break.

It depends what you mean as really good - I like swinton park in Yorkshire but its not an enormous spa.

It depends, two nights for two people I’d expect to pay more than £1k for a very good spa! But for me if I’m paying for a spa break I want super luxury, which obviously comes at a cost.

Where abouts are you looking? Are you aiming to have treatments included in that £600? It’ll limit you a bit, treatments are expensive.

No treatments although I do love a facial but for the sake of this post, the facial would be excluded from the budget so £600 to cover two nights accommodation and access to a spa.

Where would you recommend? The budget isn’t really a budget, it’s more of an expected cost. I would prefer to pay more for super luxury!

I have no idea how to do that but I shall try!

@Youraveragelass Absolutely love Gleneagles, Adare Manor is 10/10 hotel and the spa is lovely, Hoar Cross Hall is I think my favourite or perhaps Cameron House! DH golfs so a lot of them are close to courses 😂 Hoar Cross is absolutely massive too so you’d definitely be able to find something you wanted to do.

Spa hotels are super expensive now (at least the nice ones are) so I’m not that surprised.

I stayed at a good value place recently - nice food and spa, but it’s in Torquay rather than the posher towns nearby
