That's a long list.

Favourite for what ?

Place to buy a home?
Place to go for a day trip?
Place to set up a business?
Place to stay for a year whilst you write a book?
Place to go for a weekend break ?

Are you going there alone?
As a couple?
As a family ?
Do you work?
Are you retired?
Are dc babies / toddlers or teens?

You need to give us more clues.

Lyme Regis or Dartmouth.
Aylsham is not particularly nice, just a dull market town.
Southwold and Aldeburgh iver-rated.

TLDR

Lyme Regis.

I have very happy memories of Alfriston. And even happier of Thirsk - seems a bit odd it’s not on there.

Favourite for what? Lots of those places I'd like to go on holiday or for a weekend but I wouldn't want to buy a house there.

Pittenwewm or Crail but I don’t know what for?! They are both stunning places to visit.

If it’s for sticky toffee pudding I’m going to say Cartmel. If it’s for tarts then Bakewell, obviously.

Lots of these could be clustered together, using one as a base. E.g the ones round the Yorkshire Dales, or the Peak District.

Lots have fantastic places around them.

I wouldn’t go to Holt or Burnham Market for their own sake but they make good bases to visit the fantastic N Norfolk area. As would Blakeney, Wells Next The Sea etc.

The Suffolk Coast area is glorious… so again it depends what you want.

Many of these places just have one Main Street with a few interesting buildings.

Keswick, I go there a lot as into fell walking and love the Lakes

Alnwick, Northumberland in general is just gorgeous beautiful coast and beaches plus forests and open countryside.

Tenby, lovely place just took us a long time to get there.

Southwold is nice for a day out but I wouldn’t want to stay there longer, same with Skipton, Beverley, Malton and Helmsley
