Looking for a holiday park suitable for 8 year old (football, swimming , bingo etc) ideally drivable to a beach but don't want to be travelling length of breadth of the country . Been to Ocean edge and haven lakeland so far just wondering if I'm missing somewhere ta

I assumed the OP is talking Blackburn in Lancashire not West Lothian?

It’ll be Lancashire, going by the places they’ve already been to.

That’s what I assumed too! Also most people have never heard of Blackburn in West Lothian!

Agree. Google maps says Blackburn to Presthaven is 1 hour 50. They tend to be much of a muchness so if DS likes the Lakeland one then he'll probably enjoy there too.

If you could add on maybe another half hour OP and go a bit further west, there are loads of this style of holiday park along the North Welsh coast. It's a good area to explore if you're in NW England. But Presthaven is the closest big old school full service type caravan park to you on the Welsh coast, I think.
