Country hotel with open fires in bedrooms but not The Pig

I’m looking for a luxe feeling country house hotel, within 3 hours of London, with lovely rooms and a nice restaurant where they have log fires in the bedroom.
Have been to The Pig (various outposts) too many times now and fancy a change, but we love having a fire in the room!!
Thanks for any suggestions

Cliveden House Hotel perhaps.

The Endsleigh near Tavistock is very lovely and has open fires in the main rooms but not the bedrooms I don’t think, and if you don’t mind the hunting shooting and fishing set hanging around in their plus fours you’ll be right at home.

Actually The Lime wood is apparently very good and not too far from the Pig in the new forest but I’ve not managed to stay there yet so don’t know if it has open fires .

@lissie123 i can answer that as have stayed there twice….. no open fires and the lighting isn’t “right” but gorgeous communal areas and spa.

Bailiffscourt in Climping West Sussex

The Brimstone in the Lake District but its a little over your 3hrs from London. You could probably do it in 3.5ish -4 via train from Euston and an expensive taxi from Oxenholme/Windermere.

Spread Eagle in Midhurst has open fires (I think 2 of them?) in the main bar area, and is just lovely.

Bailiffscourt definitely does. Not sure about all the rooms, but we had a log fire in ours.
