How do you call the Tunnel to France?

I'm wondering how you all call it as my BF is calling it the Chunnel and I think he is wrong!

I think those who say they have never heard it called the Chunnel are young. In 1993 when it was built it was definitely the Chunnel.

This. But it is a word that went out of fashion.

These days if I am going by passenger train I would just say Eurostar. (Love Eurostar but am also looking forward to the proposed new services from St Pancras)

If we were going by car we would say Tunnel or Shuttle.

I live in France and call it le tunnel or le tunnel sous la Manche.
