Isle of Wight recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for something quite specific. Air b and b or similar (definitely self catering) for a group of 5 friends (so, not too much room or bed sharing) somewhere pretty on the IOW near good walks and/or pubs. We haven’t decided if we are taking a car yet, but somewhere not far from ferry crossing might be a bonus. It’s not for a hen party, we’re all quite sedate!

The Garlic Farm has self catering accommodation, and I’m sure of the cottages has 4 or 5 bedrooms. It’s literally a bike ride from the ferry port at Cowes, and a mile away from a really traditional old style pub with brilliant food.
