Birmingham City centre with a toddler

Looking for some suggestions of where to go with a toddler. I'm meeting my brothers in Birmingham for lunch next week, with my 18 month old. None of us live there, but it's conveniently in the middle. We'll be there for lunch/early afternoon. Can anyone local tell me if there's somewhere with a play area/soft play that we could go to. Ideally I'd like a normal cafe that's fine for 3 adults for lunch but also has some space for a toddler. She has lots of energy and sitting still while we chat is not much fun! It needs to be fairly close to New St station. Thanks!

Hmmm - I wracking my brains as most of the soft play type places I frequented were out in the ‘burbs. The only city centre places I can think of off the top of my head are the Sea Life Centre & the Lego Discovery place. They have soft play and cafes, but they’re expensive places to go just for soft play and the cafes aren’t the best. They are central though and in an area with plenty of better eateries.

Will continue to mull it over…

Good suggestions above

The Library of Birmingham often has activities in the children's section, so it might be worth investigating . A toddler might also like a ride in the talking lift up to the roof garden to investigate all that can be seen. There's a cafe with food on the ground floor. Check the opening hours though, as they are not great.

Think tank garden is open for free after a certain time. Really good. There’s also a little village play in think tank but it’s not chill for adults! And in half term will be chaos!
