Family friendly hotel in central London

We want to take our children to London and stay overnight nearer to Xmas. Please can anyone recommend a good hotel for families - so spacious family rooms (or interconnecting) and good breakfast/dining.. that doesn't cost a fortune? Thank you.

I stay in the Premier Inn at Waterloo Westminster bridge. They have interconnecting rooms, and they are on the back of the hotel so quiet as London goes...In my experience (I stay in London on business maybe 8 times a year) Premier Inn or IHG Hotels are hard to beat on value and reliable quality.

Some of the independent hotels are awful...

When our kids were young, we used to stay at the Premier Inn at County Hall, right on the Thames next to the London Eye. Perfect location and suited our budget.
