Going to London with my daughter to celebrate her birthday. I have the flight ticket book but no Hotel. Could someone recommend an Hotel which doesn't cost an arm and a left. I have Harry Potter booked and want to bring her to Buckingham Palace, tower bridge so something central closed to a tube but I have no idea where to look at. Thanks

Consider the premier inn HUB brands - decent rooms for short stays. Any of the ones around Westminster/Covent Garden/City have stuff to see nearby and are all close to tube/bus/boat links.

Thanks. Will have a look at those

I stayed in a Premier Inn hub last autumn - near Westminster Abbey.
The room had no window - it was totally claustrophobic.

Another vote for Premier Inn Hub. Great, comfortable rooms in central locations, good value.

Check out the Secret Escapes website for their last minute deals, some of them are pretty good (and right now there is a 72 hour flash sale taking place) and are very good hotels.

Just type in Central London in the menu bar.

Thank you so much.

Earlier this year DH and I had a week in the Premier Inn Kings Cross on York Way. Perfectly comfortable. Easy walk to the Underground station. Also if your daughter is a Harry Potter fan, Kings Cross station is a few minutes walk and you can get a photograph at platform 9 3/4.

The Radisson Park Plaza is just over Westminster Bridge. Great links by bus or tube. It has a pool and if you join their reward scheme you get better prices and often upgrades. Prices pretty reasonable for central London we find.
