50th birthday dinner - London

Hello, I’m planning a dinner for DH 50th in London - for ten people. Not too stuffy or formal. He likes La Famiglia, Poule au Pot, Chez Bruce - but I would like to try somewhere new. I think I’d rather have somewhere that can accommodate us on a big table in the main restaurant, but a private dining room would be fine otherwise. I would be grateful for any suggestions!

Boulevard Brasserie in Covent Garden

Arlington and The Park (both Jeremy King) have private dining rooms. Very different restaurants, both lovely and great food.

The Swan at The Globe

If he likes Poule au Pot, what about its sister restaurant, Maggie Jones's? It's reopening soon apparently.

This is an oldy but a goody. Large enough for a table in the main restaurant too. And sometimes have live music for a bit of atmosphere

This is a great shout - I didn’t know about this. Will find out when they are reopening. Quaglinos also looks like v good value. Thank you for the suggestions so far!
