Hi,

Travelling with jet2 later this month and I’m so confused by the bag allowance with a baby! I’ve phoned them but the lady I spoke to was a bit unsure tbh and just directed me to the website which I don’t think is overly clear!

Does anyone know if I can take:
— 2 suitcases for me and partner 22kg each case
— travel stroller which will go in the hold as we’re boarding the plane
— 2 lots of hand luggage 10kg each
— plus a changing bag rucksack for easy access to milk/toys/nappies

If anyone’s flown with them recently can you let me know please :)

Adults can have 10kg cabin bag AND a 40cm x 30cm x 15cm bag- which would be the changing bag
Yes to the rest

The person travelling with the baby as a lap infant also apparently is allowed an extra 10kg in their hols luggage. I’ve never actually tested this but it’s on their website

You can bring one piece of hand luggage onboard free of charge, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg and is no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, including any wheels and handles. If your hand luggage weighs more or is larger than this, it will need to be checked into the aircraft hold, and you may have to pay an additional charge.
You can also bring one small under-seat bag onboard (such as a handbag, laptop bag or airport purchase), as long as it doesn't exceed 40cm x 30cm x 15cm in size. This must be placed underneath the seat in front of you.
All hand luggage is carried in the cabin at our discretion, and we reserve the right to check it into the aircraft hold for operational or capacity reasons. If this is the case, you must ensure that you remove all valuable items (including travel documents, money, medication, keys, spare lithium batteries, as well as any electronic items containing lithium batteries) and carry these with you in the cabin.
Infant baggage Don’t forget, if you’re travelling with an infant and you’ve already added a hold bag to your booking, we’ll automatically increase your allowance by an extra 10kg per infant, free of charge! Find out more about this here.

Short version: don't pack anything essential for the flight in your 10kg hand luggage bags in case they need to go in the hold. You can add 10kg to one of your hold bags as the "infant baggage".
