I’m taking my 2 7 year olds to London in July and I’m trying to work out a couple of things. I’m hoping to fit in a gallery and wondering which out of The National Portrait Gallery, National Gallery or the Junior version of the Royal Academy summer show might be best? It looks like the Portrait Gallery has little sketch packs with prompts for children which sounds brilliant but I think they might prefer a bit more variety than just portraits. The website for the National gallery says something about an App game but would be good to hear people’s actual experiences! We have been to the Tate Modern before but will probably pop in there the day we are at the Southbank.
We are also planning on going to the Royal Observatory at Greenwich and would love to go to a planetarium show, but again not sure which might be the best for their age. There are ones geared towards younger children but not sure if those shows would be too young or if the general ones would be too old! I used to live in London and am so excited to show them around but no idea on some of the specifics for their age!
