London for DD8 Birthday

I’m planning to take DD(8) to London for her birthday in August, we are going to see a show and do some sight seeing/shopping. I used to spend a lot of time in the city but haven’t been down there a lot for a few years - does anyone have recommendations on nice hotels/restaurants that are a bit special for kids? I’d like to do something memorable as I’ve had breast cancer this last year and life’s been a bit challenging for her!

Dd and I have done this twice. Stayed at the park plaza in Westminster once and a Hilton in Kensington once. Both times we upgraded from the basic room which was lovely.

Food trickier as dd is fussy and has intolerance. She thoroughly enjoyed brunch at the Wolsely though!

Oh, and if she has less fussiness, afternoon tea could be fun?

The Treehouse hotel feels a little bit special. It has the wow factor but isn’t crazily expensive.
Benihana is a Japanese flame show-cooking restaurant with a kids menu. inamo is fun because of the interactive table tops (with games!) and chef cam. No kids menu, but enough on the regular menu that kids would eat.
Chin Chin Desert Labs makes the most amazing dry ice cream. If she’s girly, then one of the EL&N cafes.

The Darwin restaurant in the Sky Garden is fun- ask for a window table.

Not sure what your budget is but sketch is very cool for teens/instagram people so she might like that (appreciate she's only 8 but it is a bit different inside so she might like it)

Mine liked Hard Rock Cafe.

Coppa Club near Tower of London is great for lunch in the summer outside. You can visit the rooftop gardens nearby before maybe
