Beach Huts in Mablethorpe or Wells on Sea?

We are staying at a friends for a few days in August, the closest beach to them is Skegness & Id like to hire a beach hut for the day for me, DH and 6 year old DD.

Google has brough up huts in Mablethorpe & Wells on Sea, the ones in Mablethorpe are owned by the local council and a bit cheaper but more basic whereas the ones in Wells on Sea are privately owned and seem a bit more well equipped. Both locations seem to have everything you need, shops, cafes etc

Does anyone know these areas and can give me some tips or any other suggestions?

Just a heads up that the chairs at Mablethorpe beach huts are the plastic ones , so if you want a comfy experience then at least take camping chairs with you .

There’s Rand Farm, from Spilsby it’s probably just over half an hour’s drive

Queens Park is definitely the best place to go from Spilsby. Mabo lovely. Cafes on sea wall - one does proper coffee if you walk a bit further along. Have a great time.

There is also the Wolds Wildlife Park near Horncastle nearby, and Tattershall Castle which is great for kids to run round in.

Mablethorpe seal sanctuary has much more to see than just seals.

Thank you, I got the impression it was pretty basic, so we'll take some camping chairs. Its more to have a base to leave things and for the novelty value to be honest!
