Bar to take 16 year old for mocktails in Soho?

I'm taking my 16 year old DD out for a day in London soon and was hoping to take her for a post dinner mocktail in Soho, but every bar I have looked at has a strict over 18s policy. Are there any places that would be suitable for 16 year olds?

I think you need to look at kid centric places

or cafes/food places/juice bar with a kids menu that do that kind of thing

You can’t take an under 18 to a bar - it’s just not allowed

You could go to a restaurant and order some though.

Maybe a hotel bar? Soho Hotel, or Charlotte St Hotel. Kettners is lovely, it's part of the Soho House group, but you don't need to be a member.

Cafe Boheme nice for drinks, they allow under 18s up to 9.30pm

Agree that bars will be generally off limits.

The Ivy Brasserie Soho is a good bet. They have a pretty decent list of mocktails.

Scarfe’s Bar at the nearby Rosewood Hotel:

The 1864 rooftop bar at John Lewis on Oxford Street.

I think you need to look at hotels or restaurants with bars rather than cocktail bars if you want to go somewhere with a 16 year old. Places that serve food but allow you to go for just drinks. There are quite a few with rooftop bars or terraces, if you want somewhere a bit special feeling.

Hi SancerreSunsets, did you find somewhere suitable? we are in a similar situation, my Nephew turns 18 and we are meeting him in Soho at 5pm however his little brother is only 13 so we were looking for somewhere that we would not be kicked out at 8pm. There will be a large group and he will be the only one under 18 - most of us will be 45 and over x

If they are going to make 16 year olds eligible to vote (which carries a weight of responsibility), then they may as well let them in bars and pubs.
