Help me find a nice place for a holiday to recover from an operation

Hi me and DH and our dog are looking for ideas for somewhere near the sea to have a recuperative holiday as I’ve recently had a biggish operation. We’re thinking early July before the schools break up. We like being near the sea, walks, although I’ll be a bit limited, a nice pub with food, a good restaurant, a cafe serving good coffee and cakes in a village or a small town and not too busy We’d like a cottage with a enclosed garden for pooch, parking on site or nearby We live in the landlocked midlands and are thinking of a 200 miles drive max. We’ve been to and liked Whitby Saltburn, north and south Wales Northumberland and Cumbria, .Dorset and Devon Any suggestion gratefully received

Come to Swanage. And if you take the steam train ride you'll go past our garden 😁.

Beadnell has a lovely bay and a few amenities in the village. Seahouses about 3 miles up the road has everything else. A couple of miles more and you have Bamburgh. Just search for Beadnell dog friendly cottages. All the beaches up there are dog friendly.

Lytham, it’s a lovely little town on the coast lots of upmarket restaurants snd independent shops. Dog walking on the beach or one of the pretty little parks.

Try Wells-next-the-Sea or Holkham in Norfolk. Wells is one of our favourite places to take the dog and it sounds just what you’re after https://dogfriendlydestinations.com/listings/wells-next-the-sea-holkham/

Sidmouth is probably a bit too far to travel but do consider it as it is lovely. Somehow a busy but still slow paced town

Llys Meddyg, Newport, Pembs.
Beautiful and lovely hotel.

Blakeney in Norfolk is lovely - look on the Blakeney holiday cottages website rather than vrbo etc, way more choice

Aldeburgh or Southwold in Suffolk. Lazy pace of life, flat for walks, beautiful coastline, cafes, lovely inland villages. I always feel very chilled and refreshed in Suffolk.

Was about to say N Yorks, Staithes is a perfect place to just chill though hilly
