Coastal hotel with good restaurant Kent/sussex

Have the chance to go away alone for 2 nights. All I want to do is read, sleep, walk by the sea and eat nice food. Any recommendations for a hotel with excellent food by the sea in Kent or Sussex? All suggestions welcome, will think about the budget later!

No.42 Margate is a fantastic boutique hotel with great views (especially from the rooftop bar!) and two restaurants serving really fresh, wholesome food. The hotel also has a spa, and is close to several decent seafood restaurants.

The George at Rye is nice.
