Has anyone flown from Bristol recently?

I'm flying from Bristol to Edinburgh tomorrow. Don’t want to check a bag into the hold if I can avoid it.

It’s years since I’ve flown and I’m a bit anxious

I have lots of small bottles of liquid (toiletries). In total they’re less than 1000ml but they won’t fit in one 20x20cm bag. Is this ok? Is there a limit on the numbers of bottles I can take if the total amount of liquid is less than 1000ml?

When I flew from Bristol in April there was no need for the plastic bag for toiletries - all liquids could be left inside the hand luggage, as they had the new scanners in operation. It might be different in Edinburgh but hopefully it will matter less at that end of the trip.

At Bristol there is no limit now and no need for the plastic bags but the max per item is 100ml.

But dont forget to check what Edin allows on your returns! I got very excited about this last year with Bristol, only to realise that returning from the other side’s airport there were different rules!

I flew Bristol to Edinburgh in November. At Bristol there was no need for the plastic bag although the limit was 100 mls for each container in the hand luggage.
BUT at Edinburgh on the return journey they were very strict about giving out plastic bags and making everyone put all their things into the one plastic bag, I actually had to leave some stuff behind because it wouldn't all fit in.
So I'd advise checking what Edinburgh is doing at the moment in case you still need to put it in the one plastic bag.

I flew from Edinburgh recently and these was no need for the plastic bag, just the 100ml limit applied.
